Who is Stainless and Why?
First fabric shipment from India 2013
We are some idealistic people that don’t want to accept the conditions in the clothing industry any more.
Our ideal is a world in which everyone takes resposibility for the product one buys and in which we together protect our planet.
Now we make t-shirts.
Well fitting from very goood material and fully Fair Trade and Organic certified.
It wasn’t easy to get there.
What is a shirt, on our product
A shirt is Stainless if it is Fair Trade, Organic, well fitting, and of very good quality.
Every Shirt has to run similar production stages to become a shirt.
Dwell upon the laborious process of a shirt, a very simple product.
What is Fair Trade and Why?
Marketing says you should be nice.
You should not be confronting, but leave everyone in his bubble.
We think it is better to see what is going wrong, even if our influence is limited.
People in the garment industry are exploited on a big scale, only so we can buy cloth for a ridiculous price, or that some shareholders become rich. Moreover is the garment industry the second most dirty in the world.
Workers in the garment industry work more than 70 hours a week, and are hired and fired arbitrarily. They don‘t have vakation, live on very small spaces, eat always the same and don‘t have enough money to pay a doctor, or send their children to school.
Fair Trade changes that, and pays i.a. living wages.
Fair Trade means to take resposibility, and to see that we have a direct relation to those who are making our products.
Fair Trade promotes an economy that serves human needs, and not the maximalisation of capital.
